Sports and climate

The big issue of Sports and Climate was raised in Sweden Arena by researchers from KTH and other universities, a silver medalist from the Olympics in Tokyo 2021, RF, and participants from Beijing via the IOC who all in KTH's Climate Action Center discussed the challenges we face. That sport must be involved and take responsibility is obvious, but how do you do it right and easily? Transport, materials, and sustainable events are identified areas in which research is ongoing and must be highlighted and communicated to change behaviors and patterns. Carpooling, gadget exchange days, artificial turf, and much more are lifted in this important conversation.
