Swedish women's hockey

After years of challenges with, among other things, resources, Swedish ice hockey is now gathering strength to increase the number of girls and women's players.

In a conversation with the Swedish Ice Hockey Association (SIF), SDHL, and the Swedish Olympic Committee (SOK), have put together a long-term investment in young women's players. Jesper Sjökvist from SOK is the project manager for SIF's women's and girls' initiative together with federations, leagues and Svenska Spel is involved in financing the Olympic Offensive.

In a joint conversation, we discuss how we should raise the level of leaders, give the players the respect they deserve, and the importance of sponsors. If there is a change, we will compete for medals again, claims Danijela Rundqvist. An exciting conversation about Swedish women's hockey's background, current situation, and future.
